Oil Field Wastewater Dewatering Company Case Study
An oil field contract dewatering company was unable to dewater the oily water solids from several oil field storage tanks using conventional coagulants and flocculants.
The swings in solids loading and oil content made it very difficult to control the correct dosage rate as conventional chemistry has a very tight tolerance to maintain a dewaterable floc. The result was an ongoing blinding problem for the mobile belt press.

After 3 months of effort and only 15,000 gallons dewatered, Integrated Engineers, Inc was contacted and asked to solve the problem. Using Floccin™ HP, the problem was easily solved. The rest of the 50,000 gallons was dewatered in 8 hours with only 500 lbs of Floccin™ HP (dewatered solids pictured above).

This picture shows the filtrate, the settled floc, and the floc prepress.
